 Hello everyone,
I finally have time to update my blog! Sorry it has not been updated as much as i originally planned, who knew blogging took so much time and energy! Definitely not me! But anyways, I am back in oslo{ well actually I am currently in Dzierzoniow, Poland with my team} after being at home for an extra month and a half than was originally planned. Once again my faith in the Lord's promises was tested, and at times I failed but the Lord graciously lifted me up and set my feet back on solid rock. So now TOUR SEASON has officially begun for both Teams {Wallbreakers, and my team, Set Ablaze } The Wallbreakers left on thursday for Lillesand, Norway and will travel for the next 4 weeks straight around to Norway, Germany, Italy, and back to Germany before returning to Oslo. My team, Set Ablaze, left on Friday morning for Dzierzoniow, Poland  and we will travel to Rovik, Norway , next week and then return to the base for a training week then off to the Netherlands for a  large regional event!!!!  So that will be really cool! Well that is just a short  update. I will share some testimonies from last night a litte later ! God is good and he is moving!!!!! AMEN

EXTREMELY over due

Wow..... It has been such a long time since I have been able to update! Sorry everyone! My computer has been and still is broken so I just realized that I could update via my iPod. Technology I tell ya !!?!
I have now been here for around 3 months, which seems so crazy! Time has gone by so fast, faster than I ever imagined. SO many things have happened since I last posted and I have tons of pictures to upload as well, which I will have to do when my computer is fixed.

Hello Everyone,

It's been a while since I've updated my blog. It's been crazy busy here, which is a blessing but it means i have no time to update... sorry. As soon as i get more used to the schedule my posts will be alot more frequent, I hope.

I have now been here for a little over a MONTH!!!!!!! That's very hard to believe but things have been incredible so far.  Everyday we attend TBBMI, the bible school, from 8:30- 1:00 pm. In the month that I've been here, we have had four awesome guest speakers come from all over including: Mario & Susanne Barbowsy , Winnie Owiti from Africa, Tissa Weeyasingha from Sri lanka, and Mikeal Iverson from Denmark and this is JUST THE BEGINNING. So i am very excited to see who else comes to speak and share what they have learned and are constantly learning through the Lord.
In Jesus Revolution,  We have had three street meetings, during which we have dramas, dances, testimonies, and preaching. We have had some incredible experiences at each street meeting including people getting healed, and giving their lives to the Lord, and of course planting  small seeds of God's love into the people's hearts. And Once again this is ONLY THE BEGINNING :) So this is truly a blessing!
I can already see the Lord working and confronting things {character flaws} in me, but it's crazy how FAST the Lord will answer your prayers ESPECIALLY if you ask him to show you things in yourself that need to change. And Like Mikeal Iverson told us in class, "Be CAREFUL when you pray that prayer because He WILL show you, and he will use anything to show you these things about yourself, INCLUDING the most irritating people. It takes sandpaper to make wood smooth!" So that is encouraging because i know this year is going to mean LOTS OF SAND PAPER, and that's going to hurt, but i know it will be worth it. And I have a very Gentle and Loving creator that is bringing me through these things because he DOES love me and only wants the best for me. " Like a father disciplines his child..."  So i feel very privileged  because of that, and already the Lord is speaking words of life into me....
A girl named Joanne has been here on vacation all week, so she's been participating in our daily schedule including going to school with us. Each morning to begin the school day we have a session called morning assembly where we pray about various topics and have praise and worship. well one morning this week we were instructed to split up into groups and pray for our churches. So i prayed for Victory but  more specifically  212....
But today , Joanne came to hang out a little before she leaves to go back home to Switzerland, she came and offered me a swiss chocolate bar, and said she actually had something else for me as well. She came back and handed me this note:
"  Dear Victoria,

When i prayed for you and your church the other day, I had a vision about you. You were like Moses who had seen God and went back to his people. The people saw a great change in Moses. They saw it on his face. Something was Bright { Light from the inside} on his face.
I think you are like Moses: This year God is shining on you and when you go back, people will see the light in you and will be touched and changed. Be blessed in everything! And keep singing: you have a wonderful voice! "

WOW..... man that was such an incredible vision. I could not stop smiling at how amazing my heavenly father is. He knows exactly what to say, to melt my heart and make me fall even more head over heels in love with him. SO i thought i would just share that with you guys and say that the Lord sees us, and loves to encourage us and pour words of life into our lives. I also am thinking about posting some of the notes and sermons that i have learned so far, to both help my self remember but also to share with you the things that i am learning. After all we can NEVER know to much, especially about God, so who knows they could rock our world like they are mine. Well farewell for now! I miss you all, and please keep me in your prayers including my finances for this year! Thanks so much everyone. You ALL are amazing. Stay blessed
 ~ Victoria

Week 1.... CHECK!

Hello Everyone,
I have officially completed my first week In Norway, Even though it feels like I've been here SO much longer. I think that is due to the fact that it already feels like one big family, which is a blessing.  I love it here, It's still an adjustment but I am very grateful that everyone is making it an easier one. I am definitely looking forward to what the Lord has in store...

Today i hung out with Bobbi Jo, who is the only other American here, even though she's lived here for over 6 years.

<------ Bobbi Jo
Anyways, She took me to what she calls "the naked statue park", I have no idea what the real name is, but it's ok..... "the naked statue park" will suffice
->   gate The gate to the park <---view from entrance

It was really beautiful! I love nature, well looking at it anyways... not the bugs!!!!!! The leaves were turning and it wasn't too cold so that was great.
<--- some of the statues on the walkway

<---- the river

I loved looking at the statues and the mood's that were portrayed by the artist. They all portrayed different stages and moments in life, mostly revolving around family and love, but there were also some really funny statues.

<----- such a great family shot!

<----- I LOVE this picture, i love the intimacy portrayed by the artist

The most well known is this statue of a little baby. I laughed so hard when i saw it and Bobbi Jo told me that people always steal the statue or vandalize it,which i have no idea HOW people actually walk away with the statue but hey, maybe that's just me.
<---- the famous angry baby statue

Also in the center of all of the statues, and behind a gate, there is this huge tower of sculpted bodies , which could remind you of like a holocaust memorium but less creepy.
<---- i thought this gate was kinda cool, under dressed but cool none the less

<----- closer shot
<------ view from the top by the tower

<----Random: but i love the color of the leaves

So all in all today was a good day, and I'm looking forward to my first normal week.... because we  had training week and didn't have school. Instead of going to school we stayed at the house and learned some of the songs, dances, and dramas that we will use when we start traveling in the spring, as well as during our street outreaches.
OHHHH and another fantastic part of the day was that I FINALLY GOT A CONVERTER, so i can use my curling iron! YEAH YEAH!!!!
that may seem insignificant to most, but to me it's close to christmas..... close :P

Faithful To The END

Well i would like to begin by saying, that i serve an impossible God . His word is true and his promises will be kept. Despite every lie and attack from the enemy in regards to joining Jesus Revolution the Lord has blessed me and allowed me to be able to come. That is another testiony of how faithful the Lord is and how he comes to our rescue when we trust him and let him have control. It definitely was not easy, but look at where he has brought me. IM IN NORWAY!  Abba you are so incredible, and that was like the smallest glimpse of your love, imagine how much more you long to show yourself to me and all of your children. Thank you!WELCOME TO OSLO!!!!!!!!!

So today marks technically Day 4 in Norway. I left Atlanta on Wednesday at approximately 5:45 pm and arrived in oslo around 11:30am their time { about 6 hours ahead}.  I actually had to take to flights, one from  atlanta -> brussels, which the Lord blessed me and allowed me to fly first class even though i flew standby and didnt pay first class price. So that was incredible in itself! My second flight was about 2 hours long form Brussels--> Oslo.
When i got to the house everyone was so welcoming, and they kept telling me that they were happy that i was FINALLY here and that they prayed hard for me to be able to come. so that was incredibly heart warming. It definitely made me feel like that wanted me here, and made it easier to transition into such a different place. Let's just say i felt VERY AMERICAN right of the bat, but hey i guess thats normal considering Im not in america anymore.

SO.... now i'll try to answer some questions that i know you guys are probably wondering about......

1. Where do i live
I live in "The Jesus House" . Yes that's what its called. It is this really old large building, with several rooms used for different ministries. The room i sleep in  I share with 11 other girls. We have 4 bunkbeds of  3. and i sleep on the very top, which is not bad except trying to get up and down it in the middle of the night. lol
Because there are so many of us in one room, there is very little space for our things. We each have a locker and a couple if shelves. Anything else that doesnt fit goes upstairs in the"attic"- which is more like a room not like our creepy attics. lol

<--- the courtyard at the house
<----- view from the girls room
<---random photography of house
<--- more random photography
<--- and more

2. How's the food?
So far the food is pretty good. the main difference is that they eat bread with every meal pretty much.... well actually bread is pretty much the meal most times. they only eat one hot meal a day... which is dinner. So for breakfast, lunch, and another meal after dinner called supper they have bread with various toppings available to put on it..... like ham, butter, cheese, cucumbers, red peppers, chocolate, peanut butter, jam, etc. {not all at once of course}

3. How is the weather?
It is pretty chilly. It rained today, which im sure will make it colder i'm sure. but so far the cold has been ok. not to bad, but definitely colder than home!

well that's all i can think of right now! I miss you all , and i will update this as often as i can. Please continue to to keep me in your prayers, and count on God's faithfulness! Till next time............

<3 Victoria

First post!
So... this is my very first blog post! Well as you may, should hopefully, know i have the ridiculously amazing opportunity to spend the next YEAR in NORWAY participating in a program called Jesus Revolution!
I "promised" the Lord that I would make a blog to share my adventures if he made it possible for me to go. I know that may seem like a weird promise to make to the Lord God ALMIGHTY but i never thought i would/ wanted to hop on the blog train but i love how the Lord uses blessings and opportunities to get us to open up to the very things we "swore" we wouldn't do!
Anyways, I am so pumped and excited to see what my Abba has in store for me, but I am terrified at the same time. I am going to miss all of my friends and family but i know this journey will be worth it.
Technically the program is scheduled to begin on the 28th of August which is 1 week= 7 DAYS from today! How crazy is that, but it unfortunately doesn't look like I'm going to be able to make that date. I am still waiting on my residency permit in order for me to book my plane ticket, not to mention shop for all of the things I'm going to need throughout the year and PACK!!!!! I'm sad that I'm going to have to be late for the program but I'm just going to have to trust that my Papa has everything in control..... which is hard, but worth it!

well thanks for reading guys! I'll keep posting and sharing when i leave! Please keep me in your prayers. I love you all :)
